Day Eighteen: Puppy

I have the most awesome puppy in the world.
My boyfriend is going to be jealous of Ecco because he gets a mention on my blog before he does, but let’s face it: nothing it cuter than a puppy. Look at this face.

Ecco has been the light of my life and the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. The best thing that has happened to us. Me and Taylor that is. And my family. My father will deny it to his grave, but Ecco has been helping him get back into shape. Taylor too. And even me.
Today has been a kind of long day. Ecco got neutered yesterday so he’s kind of doped up on drugs. Essentially we match because I’m pretty doped up as well. My little boy is so cute in his cone. He keeps walking into doors and hits the walls.

He’s not the perfect dog. Ever since he figured out how to open doors the privacy in the house is null and void. He also knows how to get in and out of just about any cage or pen or kennel we put him in, so he’s constantly in trouble.
But he’s the greatest puppy in the world and I adore him. Over the last several months he’s grown so big and so strong. I’m so happy he knows who his mommy is.

Challenge to my Readers:
Next time you're considering adopting a dog, consider getting a dog who is on Death Row. Go here to read a story about how fabulous these dogs are. Don't worry, they aren't on death row because they're bad dogs, it's due mostly to over crowding and illness. These dogs deserve a chance at life and a forever home filled with love.
